Isokinetics Inc. Magnetic Pedal Exerciser – Black – With Anti-Slip Strips
I recently ordered an item from Amazon. I did it on-line and I’m very disappointed.
I wanted a Styrofoam exercise device that is half cylindrical in shape. In the display it’s called a half-round. I chose the shape from those portrayed in the catalog. One half round, 36″long and the curved portion is either 6″ in diameter or 3″ in radius, whichever way you choose to describe the curved portion.
What I received was a full-round cylinder that is 36″ long and 6″ in diameter. I’m not going to try to return it. Once bit, twice shy is my opinion.
From now on I will only order books from Amazon. At least none of my book orders have yielded me something I can’t use.
I sure wouldn’t recommend ordering Styrofoam forms on-line.

First let me say it is well made. Has benefits in that the tension is adjustable. It can give a decent workout for winter days. However, I didn’t find I could use it by sitting on the couch. I had to bring in a dining table chair. And with vigorous use it still scoots on the carpet.

Product is well worth the money. Great for seniors, people with arthritis and injury rehabilitation. You can work up quite a sweat with this unit, I was surprised. I bought it to help rebuild strenght in my arms and legs. Has a tendency to lift and move around a little at speeds over 13 mph or if you are peddling in the elongated positon stretching your legs straight out. I just set it up agaist the coffee table or base board to minimize movement of the unit.

I’ve been using the pedal exerciser for just about a month now and it works mostly as advertised. It’s not very strong, but is great for someone with a knee injury like me who is trying to re-build up lost strength. If you’re thinking of using this as a replacement for a good bike ride, look for something else.
One warning on the poor construction: within the first week, the knob on the front broke off. I had loosened the strength for my girlfriend to try out and when I retightened it, the knob came right off. I’ve found that I can adjust the tension using a wrench, but it’s simply too expensive to ship back and get replaced.

I can get a nice workout while watching TV. Very easy to go 30to 45 minutes at a clip. It does slide on carpet, bought 25 pound hand weight and placed on front of stand to correct.
