If you don’t want the bike to move around just put a twenty pound weight on the end of the extender arm. I used a bag of rock salt since it was handy. The bike did not move even on a hardwood floor. I would have given the bike five stars if it didn’t have this movement problem.
This is a great bike, and service from the seller was exceptional. My bike arrived on the promised day. FedEx required a signature for this item; so make sure someone is available when this item arrives. You will receive email from the seller with a link so you can check delivery information. (The signature situation may not apply if you didn’t order software for the bike.)

I work from home most days as an IT Consultant and wanted to get a machine to burn some calories while sitting at the computer. This is a really great machine since it has a wide range of tension levels, and I really feel the workout in my legs. The machine does move, so I put a little box against the wall and if you remember to push down as you pedal, the machine remains stabe. This is also great when watching TV!

Very good quality except for selection knob (needs to be more sturdy). It much too easy to dial and seems very easy to break off. Other than that this unit is quiet and hefty.

There is not enough clearance between the rear support bar and one’s heel. I wear a size 9 shoe; and, with proper foot placement on the pedal, my heel hits the bar. The same thing happens to every member of my family–and we have tried different chairs. The pedals are also uncomfortably small. Other than that, it is a great piece of equipment–smooth, quiet, sturdy, good resistance. For this reason, I kept it and adapted it by taking the rear bar off.
